Return to work rehabilitation
Mobile Exercise Physio provides return-to work rehabilitation for all sorts of industries: Private (retail/wholesale, building, etc.) and public sector (policemen, fire-fighters, lifeguards, teachers, etc.). Where needed (mining industry, etc.), onsite rehabilitation is available. Different to other Exercise Physiology providers, Mobile Exercise Physio offers qualified Hydrotherapy treatment with an unlimited pool access. Hydrotherapy is utterly important for early stage post surgery rehabilitation after knee, hip, shoulder or spinal injury.
Mobile Exercise Physio is specialised in providing evidence-based treatment for a wide range of rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy:
- Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation: Post operation treatment (i.e., Spinal surgery, knee/hip replacement, disc prolapse, etc.)
- Metabolic Rehabilitation (Obesity, Diabetes)
- Cardiovascular Rehabilitation (Ischemic Heart Attack, Hypertension, etc.)
- Neurological Rehabilitation (Stroke)
- Pain management (i.e. chronic back pain)
- Injury prevention, injury management and chronic disease management
Why include an Exercise Physiologist?
In contrast to the Physiotherapist who deals with the management of acute pain, the exercise physiology profession focuses on the development and implementation of rehabilitation and preventive exercise programs to ensure a faster and more efficient recovery. It has been proven in many medical research studies that injured workers using undergoing Exercise Physiology treatment as part of the return-to-work program returned 15-20% earlier and physically fitter than workers without Exercise Physiology treatment. Furthermore, they were less likely to suffer from follow injuries. These exercises are individually tailored to the patient in terms of exercise type, intensity, duration and frequency. Exercise Physiologists are ideally suited to providing professional service for physical rehabilitation and as a strategy for injury prevention.
